I currently have a focus on pursuing Astrobiology, including topics such as microgravity research and Mars soil analytics. This passion was fueled throughout my childhood growing up on the Space Coast of Florida, as I watched the shuttle and rocket launches and dreamed of how I could contribute to such a cause. Later in my life I got the chance to be an intern at NASA's Space Life Sciences Lab, where I could live out my dreams in the lab. I also have a great desire to share the exciting things in my field, and a recent five into science journalism has proven to be a beautiful combination of all of my skills and aptitudes. I was fortunate enough to be chosen as a travel fellows and attended the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Washington D.C., where I was able to learn immensely from experts in the field. I currently work as a lab technician at Rapid Genomics, and I am eager to see where my path leads me in the future.
